ONE-DAY STAND NO.5

DEADLINE: 11-5-2025

OPEN CALL for

PERFORMANCE ARTISTS

The Other Side performance art platform, in collaboration with Vantaa Art Museum Artsi, is excited to announce an open call for three performance artists for One-Day Stand no.5 as part of our recurring One-Day Stand live performance events. All artists are invited to submit proposals.

One-Day Stand No. 5 takes place within the framework of Steps in the City, the current exhibition at the Artsi Museum. While the exhibition explores the cultural and visual dimensions of urban space, performance art activates these themes in real time through live, embodied actions and direct engagement. Its ephemeral nature resists fixed interpretation, inviting audiences to witness and sometimes partake in the shifting dynamics of presence, power, and public space. We welcome proposals that respond to or resonate with these ideas, though a direct thematic approach is not required.

Performances will take place at Vantaa Art Museum Artsi.

Three proposals will be selected by The Other Side curators, Aman Askarizad and Parsa Kamehkhosh, and the Artsi museum curator, Emilia Laine, for this event.
